The food journalist and former TV presenter teamed up with Barbara Sweeney to produce our Where Chefs Eat story on page 102. As the longest-serving editor of The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide, and creator and co-host of The Food Lovers’ Guide to Australia on SBS, Joanna has been a familiar face on the food scene for almost 30 years. “I’ve had the privilege of meeting some of the best, brightest, most creative people in today’s food world,” she says. Joanna has visited many of the eateries named in her story, including Brae, Fleet (right) and Igni. But, as an “obsessive food explorer”, says she’s more excited by the places she’s yet to try. “Analiese Gregory’s Tassie fish and chips recommendations, Emma Mccaskill’s chocolate éclair place on the Fleurieu Peninsula and Annie Smithers’s Du Fermier… Got to get there soon!”
