TRACEY PLATT

This Bathurst local ventured off the beaten track to write the story about Blossom Hill Farm on page 34.

Tracey grew up in Gundagai, NSW, where her late father was a grazier, captain of the bushfire brigade and president of the local show society. “He embodied the help-a-mate community spirit that I still feel when I go home,” she says. After starting her career as a newspaper journalist on the Central Western Daily in Orange, Tracey worked on fashion and food magazines in Sydney before moving to Bathurst in 2009. “We love it here — the town is vibrant and welcoming.” And how was her visit to Blossom Hill Farm? “Boris the chocolate lab greeted me at the gate, and Matt and Tania gave me some sage advice about the labrador puppy my family was about to adopt.”
