Meet the journalist and editor who wrote the story about Scott and Sally Oehm’s farmhouse on

Holidays at her grandmother’s house at Basin View, on the NSW south coast, are some of Karen’s fondest childhood memories and instilled a lifelong love of being by the sea. “We spent most of our time either in or on the lake or riding our bikes to the one local shop for ice-creams,” says Karen. After starting her career in newspapers, Sydney-based Karen switched to magazines, and has worked for a host of fashion, home and food titles. This month, she writes about Scott and Sally Oehm’s farmhouse at Tooraweenah in NSW’S Central West. “I love the feeling of space at their house. And, after seeing how they set up their table tennis outdoors under a shady tree, I really want to do that at my place.”
