KATE’S PLANS FOR CHRISTMAS

• “This year, I have had a rustic Christmas tree frame made — I’m going to weave natural foliage through it and position it at the end of the hallway,” says Kate. • “My Christmas tree has become a bit of an eclectic number with nice little memories. All the beautiful things that the children have made over the years and the little old things my mother did will hang on it.” • “I’m going to make floral crowns for each guest as my take on the traditional party hat, and they can hang off the chairs on a bit of ribbon.” • “The table will be laid with a big white cloth and lovely old crockery, with vintage chairs around it.” • “I have a lovely old gate I’ll hang from the ceiling in the creamery and weave foliage and lights through it.”
