BUSH RETREAT

Surrounded by 175 hectares of untamed bushland, this once-rundown cabin has been transformed into an idyllic hideaway for Samantha and William Mellor and their family. Located a two-and-a-half hour drive from Cape Town, in South Africa’s Western Cape province, this weekender features a living space that blurs indoors with out and has a rustic stone fireplace (built with stone quarried on the property), and a deck complete with majestic views and furniture from the couple’s business, Malawi Cane. There’s also an outdoor shower and open-air bathtub, one of the family’s favourite spaces.
