Coffee evangelists Toby and Maddy Howell opened their café Good Eddy in their hometown of Orange, NSW, after living in Melbourne and working in the coffee industry. Goody Eddy takes up the front room of the building they restored in Lords Place — with a fit-out by Sydney-based Jonathan West — and they invited two tenants to join them. The result is The Collective, where you can have a coffee, buy something for a summer soiree from Belle Armoire boutique or flowers from Botanica Flora. The café’s name comes from Maddy’s grandmother who would say ‘good eddy’ if she ever had the urge to swear. The Collective, 187 Lords Place, Orange.
