For an insight into Tasmania’s European history, the Queen Victoria Art Gallery at Royal Park has a permanent collection of Australian landscape and portrait art by colonial painters such as John Glover and Henry Dowling. Look out for a number of touring exhibitions by contemporary artists, including multimedia artist Raquel Ormella, and Jasperware, a display of innovative ceramics developed by master potter Josiah Wedgwood in the 1770s. 2 Wellington Street, Launceston, Tasmania.
