Louth Races, August 8th–11th Located 100 kilometres south-west of Bourke on the Darling River, the township of Louth has hosted horse racing since 1888 and thousands now make the annual pilgrimage to the seven-race event. Griffith Italian Festival, August 24th An inaugural event to celebrate all things Italian, with live music, market stalls, wine and, of course, food aplenty.
