WEEKEND AWAY

- ELIZA HENRY-JONES

TASMANIA Vineyard glamping at Clover Hill, Lebrina The term glamping doesn’t do justice to the luxurious experience being offered at Australia’s pre-eminent sparkling wine house, Clover Hill. The area can be chilly overnight, but you won’t know it inside the spacious bell tent, complete with heater, candles, electric blanket, rugs — and views across a rolling hillside of pinot noir all the way to Bass Strait. Your glamping experience can be coupled with lunch and a sparkling wine masterclass conducted by chief winemaker Robert Heywood, who will walk you through the winemaking process. Follow this with a seasonal degustation dinner prepared by chef Tanya White, with a glass of Clover Hill wine accompanying each course. Book now to secure your glamping getaway, which will initially be offered November 15th–17th, to coincide with the Effervescence Tasmania Festival weekend, then at other select times through the year. $300 per night for a two-night stay.
