Min­genew gets most rain

Mingnew has copped more rain than any other grain-belt town dur­ing March, tal­ly­ing 31mm just 61km away from neigh­bour­ing town Mo­rawa, which has had zero.

A se­vere trop­i­cal cy­clone curv­ing around the WA coast to­wards Perth had de­liv­ered lit­tle rain by Tues­day af­ter­noon. Pos­si­ble storms were fore­cast for Fri­day at Cor­ri­gin, Gnowangerup Hy­den, Esper­ance and Raven­sthorpe. The lat­ter two could also have storms on Satur­day.

March rain­fall to­tals by Tues­day in­cluded 31mm at Min­genew, 25mm at Du­dawa, 24mm at Chap­man Val­ley, 32mm at Cas­cade and 27mm at Condin­gup.
