Proof global warming is a sham

Countryman - - OPINION - Bruce Harvey, Hylows Farm

Mild Perth temperatures in the summers of 2017 and 2018 have thoroughly exposed the global warming scam.

Following below-average maximum temperatures in January, February and March 2017, January 2018 was cooler again, with the mean maximum temperature of 30.7C being 0.3C below the January 2017 figure, and 0.5c below the long-term average.

Remarkably, despite all 31 days of January having a historical record of maximum temperatures above 40C degrees, with the mean record high being a whopping 42.4c, there were no days above 40C in January 2018.

In fact, the highest temperature recorded was 38C on January 14.

This means that for January this year, only one day reached the old definition of a hot day (100F).

The recorded temperatures for February 2017 were even more stark, with the average maximum temperature of 29.975C being well below the long-term mean maximum of 31.6C.

In fact, the February 2017 temperatures were so far below the norm that the computer records appear to have been homogenised.

February 2017 featured three dates, February 9, February 10, and February 29, recording the lowest maximum temperatures ever recorded for those dates, with the 17.4C February 9 reading being the lowest maximum ever for February, 1.6C below the previous February 16, 1914, 19C record.

These mild summer temperatures follow on from an extremely cold winter in 2016 when four all-time minimum temperature\ records were broken in August and September.

I think it is time we stopped pretending and celebrated our idyllic climate.
