Agency underspends

Countryman - - NEWS -

The new WA Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development underspent by $60 million in its first year as a super-agency.

The $60 million gap was because of lower spending on various Royalties for Regions projects, including grants from the Agricultural Telecommunications Infrastructure Improvement Fund, which are now expected to be made in 2018-19 and beyond. Savings included $45.4 million down to project underspends, $6.8 million salaries and $7.8 million in depreciation.
