Numbers were down for a total yarding of 20,629 mixed quality sheep at Katanning this week.
Extra heavy lambs topped the market this week at $168/head.
Store crossbred lambs gained with strong demand.
Young ewes gained on the quality lines selling to a top of $123/head.
Mutton values lifted with the best heavy mutton selling for $143/head.
Light lambs sold to restockers from $35 to $78 depending on size, while airfreight weights made from $70 to $118 for the lighter weights and up to $126/head for the heavier weight range.
Light trade weight lambs sold for $119 to $138, while heavier trade weights sold to $150/head. Heavy lambs made from $150 to $168/head.
Young Merino ewes sold from $35 for lightweights up to $123 for the heaviest to processors to average $89/head.
Good quality heavy mutton over 24kg cwt sold $92 to $143/head.
