New cruise ter­mi­nal for In­dia

THE foun­da­tion for an In­ter­na­tional Cruise Ter­mi­nal at the Er­naku­lam Wharf of Cochin Port in Kochi, Ker­ala has been put down by Alphons Kan­nan­thanam, Union Min­is­ter of State for Tourism last week­end and is set for com­ple­tion be­fore Feb 2020.

The New In­dian Ex­press re­ported that the Min­istry aims to at­tract five mil­lion cruise tourists into In­dia by 2040 and that the new ter­mi­nal has 2,253m2 and will be equipped to han­dle up to 5,000 vis­i­tors.
