SE­ABOURN has an­nounced it will be sail­ing to Cuba for the first time in late 2019.

SE­ABOURN has been given fi­nal gov­ern­ment ap­proval to com­mence its first cruises to the coun­try in 2019.

The cruise line has re­sponded by launch­ing four itinerarie­s that de­part from ei­ther Mi­ami or San Juan, Puerto Rico, the first of which is a 12-day cruise aboard Se­abourn So­journ de­part­ing Mi­ami on 04 Nov, 2019.

The 11-, 12-, and 14-day sail­ings will take in five Cuban ports, stop­ping off at three to four on each itin­er­ary, with all voy­ages sched­uled to visit the Cuban cap­i­tal of Ha­vana.

The cruises on of­fer de­part be­tween 04 Nov and 21 Dec 2019.

“We are ex­cited to fi­nally be able to in­clude Cuba in our itinerarie­s,” said Se­abourn pres­i­dent Richard Mead­ows.

“These Cuba itinerarie­s are fresh and sure to sat­isfy the cu­rios­ity of any­one who has con­sid­ered vis­it­ing,” he added.

Sev­eral UNESCO World Her­itage Sites are listed in the new Cuban pack­ages such as Nipe Bay on the north coast of the Hol­guin Prov­ince, the city of Cien­fue­gos renowned for its 19th cen­tury ar­chi­tec­ture, and the coun­try’s cul­tural cap­i­tal, San­ti­ago de Cuba.

The ap­proval for Se­abourn to sail to Cuba means par­ent com­pany Car­ni­val now has three brands of­fer­ing cruises to the Caribbean na­tion.

Book­ings for Se­abourn’s Cuba sail­ings are now open with all sail­ings to be ser­viced by the com­pany’s 458-pas­sen­ger Se­abourn So­journ.
