Coral’s Geographic deal
CORAL Expeditions has announced a new partnership with Australian Geographic, allowing for “an even deeper level of guest immersion on board the Coral Expeditions fleet”.
The pact will see the development of several Australian Geographic-curated expeditions, as well as year-round Australian Geographic Society “In Residence” programs using the research facilities aboard the Coral Adventurer newbuild ( pictured) which is set to debut in Apr next year.
Four special itineraries have been announced, each taking in remote expedition destinations while at the same time contributing funds benefitting projects of the Australian Geographic Society.
The voyages include “The saltwater people of northern Australia”, “Ningaloo and the bluewater wonders of Australia’s west,” “Pioneers and frontiers of Papua New Guinea” and “Raja Ampat the Spice Islands odyssey”.
Coral Expeditions gm Mark Fifield said that for more than 30 years the company had taken small groups of like-minded explorers to remote parts of the world with expert guidance and warm Australian hospitality.
“We are pleased to grow with a partner who shares both our passion and our uniquely Australian ethos,” he said.
