PRINCESS Cruises overnight unveiled the name of Enchanted Princess, its fifth Royal Class ship which is set to debut in 2020.
“The name Enchanted Princess is captivating and conveys the elegance and grace of our new ship which will introduce more travellers to the pleasures and value of cruising,” said Princess Cruises president Jan Swartz.
The 3,660 passenger vessel will be constructed at the Fincantieri Monfalcone shipyard, with an “evolution of the design platform” used for other Royal-Class ships including Royal Princess, Regal Princess, Majestic Princess and the new Sky Princess which will join the fleet in Oct 2019.
Swartz said Princess had the “strongest pipeline of premium new ship builds in the world,” with a sixth Royal-Class vessel scheduled for 2022 along with two new Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) ships on order.
Enchanted Princess will make her formal debut in Jun 2020 with a series of European voyages, with bookings for her maiden season to open on 08 Nov 2018.
