THE ashes of a man were found inside a bottle which had washed up on a Florida beach this week.

One of the accompanying notes confirmed the man had died in suddenly in Mar, with his mother writing “more than anything, he longed to be free so I’m sending him on one last adventure”.

The bottle also held a touching note from the man’s daughter, and four one dollar bills, included to cover the cost of a phone call to the family to let them know where he had ended up.

The finder has handed the bottle on to his friend, a charter boat captain, to continue the deceased’s journey into the sunset.
