Eden bypassed

NORWEGIAN Cruise Line (NCL) has informed Cruise Weekly that its Oceania Cruises ship Rega a will be skipping a call at Eden tomorrow due to bushfires, and will instead proceed directly to Melbourne.

The cruise line also noted that at this stage there are no planned changes to any future itineraries for Eden, including its list of shore excursions.

“We are deeply saddened by the tragic wildfires occurring in Australia and our thoughts and prayers are with those affected,” the cruise line said.

“We are closely monitoring the situation...as always, our top priority is the safety and security of our guests and crew,” NCL added.

Norwegian Jewel is due to arrive in Eden on 24 Jan, while its Oceania Cruises brand has Rega a scheduled for 04 Feb.
