Silver Origin floats out

SILVERSEA Cruises’ newbuild Silver Origin, pictured, has floated out of the De Hoop shipyard in Lobith, the Netherlands and the countdown to her inaugural season has begun.

The all-suite, 100-guest ship will set off on her maiden voyage around the Galapagos Islands on 18 Jul (CW 02 Jan), which she will sail year-round.

The cruise line also announced

Origin’s team of six expedition experts, who will lead guided Zodiac excursions, hikes, and nature walks ashore, as well as onboard lectures and discussions.
