HANSEL & GRETEL

-

Breadcrumb navigation is a method for cyclists to navigate without maps. The term derives from the wellknown fairy tale Hansel and Gretel, in which the pair of youngsters dropped actual breadcrumbs as they walked through the forest so they could retrace their steps and find their way back home.

The GPS breadcrumb trail works in ostensibly the same fashion, albeit digitally, leaving regular virtual markers that can be viewed as a trail and followed. In the NeosTrack’s case, the route is shown in overview line form, with time and distance to destination info. Press start and one arrow shows your current location and direction on the route, while another indicates north. The navigation page also displays four current riding data fields and if you stray from the intended route the device will alert you to make you aware.
