The original Vaypor was a brutally stiff, heat-moulded sprinter’s shoe. The latest version, while retaining the heat-mould bathtub sole design, now gets a kangaroo leather upper that’s lined with calf skin to sandwich Bont’s proprietary lightweight mesh ‘skeleton’ for a stretchfree upper. The result is a stiff and light, yet supple shoe with a secure Boa-assisted fit that comes at a cost.
