Quarq has been in the power meter game for ages and the DZero is as rock solid a meter as you could hope for at a reasonable price. We’ve been fans of Quarq cranksets since they first appeared as a much cheaper alternative to the original SRM cranks and the latest DZero evolution adds Bluetooth Smart connectivity, more crank options (including BB386 EVO) and tightens up already excellent accuracy. Installation is simple and magnet free. Configuration tweaks and calibration check-ups are easy through the free Qalvin smartphone app, but temperature tolerance is checked before it leaves the factory and once set up it pretty much sorts itself out. SRAM chainrings shift well and it feels solid under power too. It’s the heaviest on test at 953g.
