ROTOR 2INPOWER

£1300

-

Rotor has had a well-regarded (if expensive) onesided power meter for a while, but the new 2INPower chainset collects data from both sides and is compatible with both Bluetooth Smart communications and oval chainrings. With deep boxy legs and a 30mm axle the Rotor device feels super-stiff in use but comes in comparatively light at 805g, and has bottom brackets that fit all standards. The double-leg data is backed up with extensive pedal stroke analysis through Rotor’s bespoke software. Unlike most power meters it can cope with oval chainrings and overall accuracy is very good. It’s also the first Rotor crank to ‘talk’ Bluetooth Smart for easy connection to a full range of devices. At £1300 without chainrings (add £148 to the price for round rings, £188 for oval) it’s not cheap, but at the time of writing could be found for £1100.
