It’s a neat construction, although only the edge of the EPS core’s underside is covered by the outer shell, which doesn’t offer great protection when not worn, like in transit. Two reinforcing ribs are angled through the middle of the ventilation channels, and they help direct air on to your head. The internal channels are shallower than some, but interconnect before the rear ports to maintain airflow. The Zoom Ace adjustment system works well, and the straps can be precisely positioned with a little fiddling, but we still felt the front of the low-fitting helmet projected more than necessary.
