Two EPS foam layers sandwich Giro’s proprietary MIPS Spherical system between them, so your head only contacts three small pads and the vented brow pad on the inner EPS liner, rather than a plastic MIPS cap. The AURA-reinforced arch helps to create five deep internal channels, and they’re united by even more channels between the helmet’s 11 vents. A significant portion of your head is visible, which means obstruction-free cooling, and that’s precisely what the Aether delivers. Overheating in this helmet is almost impossible. Finally, if you want to stow your glasses away, the squishy rubber grippers will retain them.
