MERIDA REACTO 300 £1000

The triple-butted Reacto has similar geometry to Merida’s aluminium Scultura race bike but with more aerodynamic tube shapes, including a teardrop-profile down-tube and fork, and a carbon aero seatpost with a truncated rear end. It’s a little heavier than the non-aero road bikes here and has Shimano Tiagra compared with 105. Can its aero features deliver the speed it promises?
