LOOK KEO CLASSIC 3

-

Look was the originator of the clipless pedal in 1984, inspired by the design used in ski bindings. Bernard Hinault rode to Tour de France victory on them in ’85 and the rest is history.

If you’re looking to do any sort of competitive riding these are perfect. Look’s Keo Classic 3s have a wider platform than the earlier model, increasing comfort and reducing the likelihood of foot pain. They’re easy to get used to, though make sure you grease the cleat bolts and tighten securely, and practise using the pedals somewhere quiet before you hit road. Unlike most clipless pedals these require an 8mm hex key rather than a spanner.
