Mango is also host to myriad antioxidants, including catechins, anthocyanins, quercetin and benzoic acid, which all aid heart health and help prevent certain cancers. Antioxidants are important as they are thought to help protect you against free radicals, which are highly reactive compounds that can bind to and damage your cells.
