So are dhb’s sports briefs a game changer for female riders? Super-soft and seamless, these thong-shaped briefs have a bonded gusset so there’s no fear, says dhb, of VPL or, rather more importantly, any irritating seams. They’re certainly extremely comfortable and I found they made excellent running briefs as they move well when you’re in action, however, they seem an unnecessary addition to essential cycling kit and I’m doubtful if they’re an improvement on wearing no briefs at all. Although the price is good, it would be better to invest in a good-quality pair of cycling shorts because the chamois is designed to provide you with all the protection you need.
