Colnago C68

A handsome, handcrafted superbike with a practical digital edge

-

Colnago’s C series has been the flagship of the legendary handmade Italian brand since the radical C35 of 1989. This latest version (the eighth) takes advantage of rapidly advancing technology to help protect it from theft.

01 Enjoy the ride

The C68 is Colnago’s ultimate bike: light, comfortable and custom built to your needs. While the brand’s pros, including multi-tour winner Tadej Podjačar, may ride the V3RS and the latest Prototipo aero design, the C68’s bespoke manufacturing makes it much more exclusive than a pro ride.

02 Why modular?

The C68 is still made using a modular system, unlike most modern monocoque frames. Colnago claims it gives better control of the carbon lamination because it uses smaller moulds and fewer carbon parts per component. The more open design of the frame parts means that the mould can use higher pressures inside, producing stronger elements. It also allows much more ‘tuning’ of the frame to meet a rider’s needs more closely, says the brand.

03 Make it yours

The frame will come in an impressive 18 sizes, nearly as many bar/stem options, plus five standard colourways (or design your own via the app for a premium). If you plump for the cutting-edge, 3D-printed, titanium-lugged version, you can expect made-to-measure stack and reach options.

04 Beautiful build

A special frame deserves a special build and our custom C68 comes with full Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 kit, including Dura-Ace wheels (ours is upgraded with a Ceramic Speed OSPW system on the rear derailleur). It’s also equipped with Colnago’s allnew CC.01 one-piece carbon bar system (available in 16 width/length combinations). A nice touch is the multitool in the head-tube top cap.

05 Solid security

Security is big on the C68 too, thanks to its use of digital blockchain technology. A unique NFC tag is installed when it’s made, detailing specification. The bike has a diary of ownership, plus you can flag it as stolen (through an app).
