Fes­ti­val of small halls has ar­rived

COORANGA North Hall will be mov­ing and groov­ing on Fri­day night as es­teemed mu­si­cians hit the venue as part of a state-wide tour.

The Fes­ti­val of Small Halls be­gan in mid Novem­ber, and takes in lit­tle towns across Queens­land in­clud­ing Texas, Su­rat, Koah and Degilbo.

Cooranga North is the 10th stop on the tour, which cul­mi­nates at the Wood­ford Folk Fes­ti­val in the new year.

The event will be head­lined by Vance Gil­bert, who burst onto the folk scene in the early 1990s af­ter re­ceiv­ing rave re­views for his open mic ses­sions in Bos­ton.

Aus­tralian Liz Stringer will also per­form at the event.

A va­ri­ety of food will be avail­able for pur­chase on the night and a bar will op­er­ate.

Tick­ets are lim­ited and must be pre-pur­chased at www.fes­ti­val­of­s­mall­halls.com.

Tick­ets are $20 for adults, $10 for high school chil­dren and $5 for pri­mary school chil­dren.

The event is sched­uled to begin at 6.30pm Fri­day at the Cooranga North Hall.
