RFDS and Woolworths team up in Halloween fundraising appeal
THE Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia and Woolworths are encouraging Dalby residents to help support Queenslanders in need across the state when they shop in the lead up to Halloween.
Halloween has become a popular occasion and this year customers are invited to help other families when doing their shopping in the lead up to the day.
Local customers at Woolworths Dalby can play their part by simply adding a $1 Woolworths Halloween fundraising token to their shop until October 31.
All funds raised will help the good work of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service is one of the largest and most comprehensive aeromedical organisations in the world, providing extensive primary health care and 24-hour emergency service to people over an area of 7.3 million square kilometres.
Royal Flying Doctor Service (Queensland Section) CEO Meredith Staib said the organisation appreciated Woolworths’ support.
“Funds raised across this Halloween campaign will allow us to purchase vital medical equipment, which will help us deliver even greater health outcomes for people in regional, rural and remote Queensland,” she said.
Woolworths Dalby store manager Christopher Walker said the store was always overwhelmed by the generosity of its local customers.
