IN AN at­tempt to re­duce the num­ber of an­i­mals im­pounded, the Dalby Her­ald has joined forces with Western Downs Re­gional Coun­cil to cre­ate Pound Pets.

The ini­tia­tive is fea­tured ev­ery Fri­day in the Dalby Her­ald, of­fer­ing po­ten­tial pets if the coun­cil is un­able to re­unite them with their orig­i­nal own­ers.

There will also be free de­sex­ing of pets for a lim­ited time.

The Dalby Her­ald and Western Downs Pound Pets ini­tia­tive also pro­motes re­spon­si­ble pet own­er­ship across the re­gion.
