Students await uni selections

Dalby Herald - - BACK TO SCHOOL ADVERTISING FEATURE -

THOUSANDS of former high school students are waiting anxiously for Tuesday, January 15, when they will find out if they received their university preferences.

Students across Queensland received their OP on December 15, with plenty of students in Dalby scoring high.

Dalby State High School saw their highest results yet with 50% of eligible students receiving an OP between one and 10.

Our Lady of the Southern Cross College saw 15% of eligible students receive an OP between one and five with one-third of students receiving an OP between one and 10.

Some students from the college have already received early offers from University of Sunshine Coast and University of Queensland.

The rest of the cohort will find out their results on January 15.

Students will access their results through the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Portal.

For students who receive their first preference for course and university, they will be able to enrol in their chosen universities immediately.

For students who don’t receive their first preference, they have a chance to be selected into their course in second round offers later in January.

These offers depend on the number of places left in the courses and whether first round offers are accepted.

Best of luck all students.
