SINGAPORE BLING
Six Senses, the company known for its exotic island resorts, has opened its first urban hotel in Singapore. British designer Anouska Hempel has drawn on a mix of Chinese, Malay and European influences for the dramatic interiors of Six Senses Duxton, which brims with gold fans, decorative screens and calligraphy wallpaper. The 49 guest rooms veer from glossy black to gleaming white, but are all equipped with custom furniture, mirrored minibars and amenities by The Organic Pharmacy. A sister hotel, Six Senses Maxwell, will open later this year. sixsenses.com
