I’ve been a sub­scriber since 2009 be­cause I just love your recipes. At my plough­man’s lunch for 12 friends, the he­roes were Jamie Oliver’s sprout & Stil­ton soup (May 17, p 77), pork & chicken ter­rine (Kitchen Di­ary, March 11, p 63), gin pick­led cu­cum­bers ( At Our Ta­ble), and tof­fee ap­ple pies (Kitchen Di­ary, June 11, p 68) com­ple­mented by my grand­mother’s cur­ried pick­led onions, great cheeses and a guest’s home­made bread. The lunch stretched for hours and ev­ery­one left in­tent on buy­ing the next is­sue of de­li­cious. Well done. Ch­eryl Rose
