Restaurateur Jessi Singh has welcomed his third Daughter in Law to the family. The new Byron Bay location (above) takes inspiration from its coastal setting with a non-traditional Indian menu that celebrates local seafood and farm-fresh fruit and vegetables grown in the region. Like its siblings, diners can expect bright jewel interiors matched to a soundtrack of Indian retro tunes with Bollywood film scenes projected on the wall. 2

Roxy’s (above) brings fresh, flavoursome Middle Eastern fare to Pallas House in Double Bay, Sydney. Prepare to be charmed by the warm, earthy interiors, where gleaming rows of fermented and pickled veg add a dose of country homeliness. Make some room on the table for the golden spiced charcoal chicken with cardamom yoghurt and quince, and the pickled beetroot with soft egg and green tahini. Swing by from 3pm for sparkling cocktails made from preserved fruits and house-infused spirits. 3

The title of Australia’s most beautiful beach is no longer the only reason to visit Cabarita. The Tweed Coast destination is now home to No. 35 Kitchen and Bar (above right), an Italian eatery that comes courtesy of Icebergs Dining Room & Bar veterans Rachel Duffy and Daniel Medcalf. The homestyle menu features handmade pasta and faves like snapper fish finger sandwich (above, right).
