Drug, knife possession
A 29 year-old Deniliquin woman has been charged with alleged drug possession and custody of a knife in a public place after being stopped for a random breath test in Deniliquin about 3.55pm on Thursday, June 28.
Police allege the woman failed to produce her driver’s licence when asked, claiming she did not have it with her. Checks revealed her Victorian licence had been suspended.
The woman, who claimed she was not aware of the suspension, was issued with a formal notice of suspension.
In a subsequent search, police allegedly found a small resealable bag containing a crystal substance, believed to be methylamphetamine, in the woman’s pants.
Police also allegedly found a folding knife in the glove box of the car.
