Cannabis cau­tion

A 26 year-old Shep­par­ton man has been given a cannabis cau­tion and is­sued a de­fect no­tice for his car af­ter be­ing stopped in De­niliquin on Wednes­day.

Po­lice stopped a car in Wanderer St in north De­niliquin about 8.20am af­ter notic­ing al­leged faulty brake and tail lights.

Af­ter speak­ing to the driver and his pas­sen­ger, po­lice con­ducted a search of the car and al­lege to have found a small amount of cannabis in­side.

Fur­ther checks also al­legedly re­vealed tyre and seatl­belt de­fects.

Fire fa­cil­ity break-in

Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the theft of a Husq­varna blower from the Fire & Res­cue NSW train­ing fa­cil­ity at De­niliquin Air­port.

A stor­age cage at the fa­cil­ity was bro­ken into be­tween 10am on July 2 and 8am on July 4.

In­quiries are con­tin­u­ing.
