Perfect season beckons Deni’s undefeated 15s

-

Deni’s all-conquering Under 15s netballers are just one win away from a perfect Murray League season.

The Rams have knocked over all challengers throughout the year with 20 wins and no losses next to their name.

But it’s their 21st encounter of the year that matters most when they travel to Rumbalara to take on Tongala tomorrow morning.

The Blues are the only side to have pushed the Rams this year, having come within three goals of the undefeated minor premier in round 16.

With that in mind Rams coach Tess Parsons expects another thriller in the decider.

‘‘The girls are all excited but also very nervous,’’ she said.

‘‘Being undefeated puts a little bit of extra pressure on as everyone seems to have an expectation that we should win.

‘‘But we know that Tonny won’t just roll over and let us win.

‘‘I think it’ll be a tight game but I’m still confident in my girls.

‘‘They all have a never-give-up attitude so when the pressure is on I believe that they will rise up to the challenge.

‘‘Win or lose I’m still very proud of what the girls have achieved this year.’’

Parsons also said the game could come down to a few key match-ups tomorrow.

‘‘Alyssa Trebilcock will be one to watch for us,’’ she said.

‘‘She generally starts in goal attack so Eloise Ritchie will go to her.

‘‘Felicity Jefferies will also have to try and nullify Tongala’s tall goal shooter Alyce Bower.

‘‘Another clash that will be one to watch is the battle between Ella Harvey at GA and Tonny’s Lily Waasdorp.

‘‘It’s all up to the girls to stand tall now so hopefully they’ve got one more win in them.’’

The game between the Rams and Tongala starts at 9am tomorrow.
