‘Ice’ and pipe found in pants

A 22 year-old De­niliquin man has been charged with pos­ses­sion of a pro­hib­ited drug and drug uten­sils, and driv­ing a car known to have a de­fect, af­ter be­ing stopped in Moama on Satur­day morn­ing.

Po­lice stopped the man’s car on the Cobb High­way at Moama about 11am for a road­side breath test, which was neg­a­tive.

Po­lice al­lege the man then failed a road­side drug test, and was taken to Moama Po­lice Sta­tion for se­condary test­ing to be ex­am­ined by a lab­o­ra­tory.

Dur­ing a search of the man, po­lice al­lege to have found an ‘ice’ pipe and small bag of crys­tallised sub­stance in a pants pocket, which was wrapped in bub­ble wrap. Po­lice believe the crys­tals were metham­phetamines.

‘Bong’ found

A 49 year-old De­niliquin woman has been charged with al­leged pos­ses­sion of a pro­hib­ited drug and uten­sils.

Po­lice say they found a ‘bong’ and a small amount of cannabis at a west De­niliquin home about 12.35am Mon­day, when at the home for an­other mat­ter.
