‘Ice’ and pipe found in pants
A 22 year-old Deniliquin man has been charged with possession of a prohibited drug and drug utensils, and driving a car known to have a defect, after being stopped in Moama on Saturday morning.
Police stopped the man’s car on the Cobb Highway at Moama about 11am for a roadside breath test, which was negative.
Police allege the man then failed a roadside drug test, and was taken to Moama Police Station for secondary testing to be examined by a laboratory.
During a search of the man, police allege to have found an ‘ice’ pipe and small bag of crystallised substance in a pants pocket, which was wrapped in bubble wrap. Police believe the crystals were methamphetamines.
A 49 year-old Deniliquin woman has been charged with alleged possession of a prohibited drug and utensils.
Police say they found a ‘bong’ and a small amount of cannabis at a west Deniliquin home about 12.35am Monday, when at the home for another matter.
