Joanna Wettenhall was the winner of the sixth Spend & Win draw and she’s ‘‘pretty excited’’ about it.

‘‘This will be absolutely fantastic coming up to Christmas,’’ Mrs Wettenhall said.

‘‘It’s great to be able to support the community in this way.

‘‘You’ve got to look after each other in a small town like this, and shopping local is an easy way to do that.’’

There are another two weekly gift card prizes to be won, drawn each Friday and totalling a combined $400, before the major prize draw at the Edward River Council Christmas Party to be held in the Waring Gardens on December 16.

Two gift cards — valued at $1000 and $2000 respectively — will be drawn at the event.

To be in the running to claim a prize, all you need to do is spend $10 at participating stores to receive an entry ticket.

Your completed ticket can be placed in the store’s Spend & Win entry box or the barrel at Central IGA. Only original envelopes and entry coupons will be accepted.

Spend & Win is a PASTORAL TIMES shop local promotion, with the support of Edward River Council, Deniliquin Business Chamber and local businesses.

A list of sponsors and participating businesses can be found on page 10.

Mick Lyne from Spend & Win sponsor Central Cellarbrations, prize winner Joanna Wettenhall and Pastoral Times advertising consultant Amy Gretgrix.
