Cel­e­brate with the RSL

The De­niliquin RSL Club is pre­par­ing for the fes­tive sea­son, hold­ing three sep­a­rate events to get mem­bers into the spirit of Christ­mas.

They in­clude the pop­u­lar Mem­bers’ Christ­mas Party on De­cem­ber 15, the Lit­tle Dig­ger’s Club Christ­mas Party on De­cem­ber 22 and the club’s tra­di­tional Christ­mas Day lunch on De­cem­ber 25.

Held from 6.30pm, the Mem­bers’ Christ­mas Party is where mem­bers can kick off their shoes and have a dance in the Dun­lop Room, fea­tur­ing live mu­sic from lo­cal band Cloud Nine.

For $25, mem­bers will en­joy a two course meal with beer, wine and soft drinks in­cluded.

The Christ­mas raf­fle will be drawn on the night with ma­jor prizes in­clud­ing an out­door set­ting, bar­be­cue, tents and other camp­ing equip­ment.

Lit­tle Dig­ger’s Club mem­bers are be­ing re­warded for their club loy­alty with a smash­ing Christ­mas party of their own.

From 2pm to 4pm on De­cem­ber 22, chil­dren will en­joy fun ac­tiv­i­ties and games in­clud­ing ap­ple and donut bob­bing, pass the par­cel and many more.

The De­niliquin Girl Guides will be at the party do­ing face paint­ing.

If your child is aged 12 or un­der, they are el­i­gi­ble for mem­ber­ship as an RSL Lit­tle Dig­ger. An­nual mem­ber­ship is just $2.20.

All mem­bers who at­tend the party will re­ceive an en­try into the club’s kids’ raf­fle, which will be drawn im­me­di­ately af­ter the party, at 4.15pm.

The RSL’s pop­u­lar Christ­mas lun­cheon takes the has­sle out of pre­par­ing a Christ­mas feast.

Mem­bers and guests can dine on a three course meal in­clud­ing seafood, roast meats, sides and desserts. The lunch runs from noon to 2pm.

Adults eat for $60, chil­dren 8-15 are $30, chil­dren 3-7 are $15 and kids un­der three eat free. Book a place at re­cep­tion. Pay­ment is re­quired at the time of book­ing.
