Cattle sale report:
There was a yarding of 126 head at Deniliquin on Wednesday, and most cattle showed signs of feeling the season.
There was the odd pen of better finished cattle coming through.
Steers ranged from $1.65/kg to a top of $2.80/kg and heifers ranged from $1.60/kg to a top of $2.55/kg.
Cows ranged from $1.10/kg to a top of $2.10/kg.
Smaller and very light conditioned cattle were hard to move making them 50 cents to $1/kg cheaper. Top sales: Steers – G&P Ball, $280.60; Cameron Tweed, $265; Burnima Pastoral Co, $264.
Heifers – E&M Hay, $255; G&P Ball, $250; S&A Barlow, $220.
Cows – E&M Hay, $210; D&C Watson, $195; P&B Conallin, $186.60.
