Mathoura’s week­end pen­nant re­sults were a mixed bag in round eight of the Cam­paspe Val­ley Bowls Divi­sion, with the top sides nab­bing wins and the fourth and fifth di­vi­sions bot­tom­ing out.

Satur­day’s play saw Divi­sion One record an 82 to 43 win over pre­vi­ous league lead­ers Ton­gala away from home.

Divi­sion Two played Ton­gala at home and recorded an im­pres­sive nine-shot, 71 to 62 vic­tory.

In Divi­sion Four, the same could not be said as Mathoura took on Moama away from home.

The home side cleaned up in deal­ing an 86 to 55 thrash­ing to Mathoura.

In Divi­sion Five, Mathoura lost by 13 shots to De­niliquin RSL away from home in a 54 to 41 score­line.

In Mathoura’s club cham­pi­onship, the men’s sin­gles 25-up saw M Quor de­feat D Hicks, F Ja­co­bite de­feat S Lim­brick and A Hulm de­feat A Prime.

In the mixed pairs, J Chalmers and L Bates de­feated M Quor and P Lewis.

The fi­nal will be be­tween the pair­ing of J Chalmers and L Bates, and C Moss and J Moss with a date still to be de­cided.
