Post-Xmas market

Locals and visitors alike took advantage of the slightly cooler conditions on Saturday morning, and the special Deniliquin Lions Community Market schedule.

Usually held the fourth Saturday of each month, organisers decided to hold a post-Christmas market in December on the fifth Saturday.

Many of the usual market stalls were available — including collectables, clothing, plants and giftware — and the food court in the shade of the Waring Gardens trees was popular.

Market goers were entertained by local musician Geoff Wright, who took up prime position in the rotunda, as they shopped.
