Rider’s licence suspended
A 55 year-old Deniliquin man had his licence suspended on the spot, pending a court appearance, after being charged with alleged drink driving on New Year’s Day.
Police allege he returned a positive roadside breath test when the motorcycle he was riding was stopped for a random breath test on Ochtertyre St, Deniliquin about 1.40am.
Police allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.091 following a secondary breath analysis at Deniliquin Police Station.
A 50 year-old Mathoura woman has been charged with breaching an apprehended violence order and allegedly cultivating cannabis at a Mathoura property.
Police said the woman was found at a Mathoura address she is prohibited from attending due to the AVO issued in July last year about 6.30pm on December 30.
While there, police allege to have seen cannabis plants growing in pot plants in the home yard, which they allege belong to the woman.
She is expected to appear in court on both matters.
