Rider’s li­cence sus­pended

A 55 year-old De­niliquin man had his li­cence sus­pended on the spot, pend­ing a court ap­pear­ance, af­ter be­ing charged with al­leged drink driv­ing on New Year’s Day.

Po­lice al­lege he re­turned a pos­i­tive road­side breath test when the mo­tor­cy­cle he was rid­ing was stopped for a random breath test on Ochter­tyre St, De­niliquin about 1.40am.

Po­lice al­legedly recorded a blood al­co­hol read­ing of 0.091 fol­low­ing a se­condary breath anal­y­sis at De­niliquin Po­lice Sta­tion.

Cul­ti­vate charge

A 50 year-old Mathoura wo­man has been charged with breach­ing an ap­pre­hended vi­o­lence or­der and al­legedly cul­ti­vat­ing cannabis at a Mathoura prop­erty.

Po­lice said the wo­man was found at a Mathoura ad­dress she is pro­hib­ited from at­tend­ing due to the AVO is­sued in July last year about 6.30pm on De­cem­ber 30.

While there, po­lice al­lege to have seen cannabis plants grow­ing in pot plants in the home yard, which they al­lege be­long to the wo­man.

She is ex­pected to ap­pear in court on both mat­ters.

Cabin items taken

Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the theft of bed­ding, kitchen items and clean­ing prod­ucts from a De­niliquin car­a­van park.

The items were miss­ing from a cabin af­ter the guests who had been stay­ing there checked out about 10.30am on Jan­uary 1.
