Man fined at take­away shop

A 43 year-old De­niliquin man re­ceived two sep­a­rate crim­i­nal in­fringe­ment no­tice fines from po­lice fol­low­ing an in­ci­dent in the De­niliquin CBD.

Po­lice said they were called to a De­niliquin take­away shop due to the be­hav­iour of a cus­tomer staff be­lieved to be in­tox­i­cated.

Po­lice said when they ar­rived they found a shirt­less man whose be­hav­iour they de­scribed as ‘‘loud and ob­nox­ious’’ to­ward staff who had re­fused him ser­vice. He re­port­edly swore at po­lice and con­tin­ued to abuse staff.

He was fined for of­fen­sive lan­guage and, later for breach­ing a po­lice di­rec­tion to move on.
