Hand­cuffed fol­low­ing breach

Po­lice said they were forced to phys­i­cally re­strain and hand­cuff a 38 year-old De­niliquin man they al­lege was in breach of an ap­pre­hended vi­o­lence or­der and bail con­di­tions.

Po­lice said they at­tempted to ar­rest the man af­ter the car he was in was stopped in Ma­cauley St, De­niliquin, but say he be­came ag­gres­sive.

The man had only just left the De­niliquin Po­lice Sta­tion where he had re­ported on bail as per his con­di­tions.

But po­lice al­lege af­ter leav­ing the sta­tion he got into a car with the woman he was re­stricted from see­ing due to con­di­tions on the AVO.

The AVO was is­sued fol­low­ing an al­leged in­ci­dent in De­cem­ber, af­ter which the man was given con­di­tional bail.
